    Though the band didn't like the production of The Story So Far, it is all I know of the Mo-dettes and it remains a favorite disc of mine. It's true that the music takes me back--but it's more than nostalgia. The Story So Far reminds me what music was like when "Indy" was more than just a label and "Alternative" was not a genre--as it simply is not/5(19).

    The Mo-Dettes were an all-female post-punk band from London who formed in Founder member Kate Korris was an original member of The Slits and briefly a member of The Raincoats.
